Nicholas J. Begich III Nicholas is FarShore’s Commander-in-Chief. Under his direction, FarShore has grown from 1 part-time employee to 90+ full-time resources. Prior to founding FarShore in 2006, Nick held a variety of leadership roles in General Management, Information Technology, Marketing, and Finance with resource responsibilities often exceeding 150 employees and budgetary responsibilities of $200MM+ in cap ex. If you’ve ever driven a Ford Minivan, Nick was responsible for the placement of some of those cup holders (among other things). Begich holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University where he was the entrepreneurship student of the year and has earned his Master of Business Administration from Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business. Nicholas currently serves on several advisory board positions including Baylor University’s Technology Entrepreneurship Initiative.
Rick Desai Rick leads the business development team at FarShore and is a co-founder of Dashfire, FarShore’s venture-focused sister company. Rick loves pizza, traveling, supports the Hoyas of Georgetown (also his alma matter), Detroit Basketball and Michigan football. Rick was a W.J. Clinton Fellow in 2008-09 and spent a year in India’s slums working with microfinance and technology-based education. Srinivasan Balchamy Srinivasan is FarShore India’s Director of Operations. Srini, the Company’s first full-time employee, established FarShore’s first office in 2007 and now oversees 80+ employees and two office locations. He is responsible for executing all executive, strategic, and resource-related decisions at FarShore India. Srini has earned an engineering degree from Madurai Kamaraj University and brings over 13 years of IT experience. He is an avid cricket fan and enjoys spending time with his wife Bhuvana and nieces Priyadharshini and Jayavarshini.
JC Garrett JC is the Lead Samurai at FarShore. When he isn’t busy carving up problems for FarShore, JC spends his time quoting 80’s movies, playing intramural sports and travelling. Originally from Nashville, TN, JC oversaw marketing, sales and customer service for a Chicago-based tech startup and founded a small business consulting practice. He earned an MBA from Pepperdine University with dual concentrations in Entrepreneurial Management & Marketing and previously worked in Non-Profit Management. You can follow him @jc_garrett.
Loralie Baus Loralie is FarShore’s Financial Controller and has over 10 years of experience in a variety of accounting positions. Since joining FarShore in 2007, Lori has managed global consolidated financial and management accounting in conjunction with the Company’s international tax and accounting team members. Lori received a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Anchorage. When she is not crunching numbers, Lori is always outside taking advantage of her native Alaska. She is a running, hiking, biking and skiing enthusiast and will be running in the 2011 New York City Marathon.
Josip Povreslo As a FarShore Application Architect, Josip works with our partners to build products out of ideas. Prior to joining FarShore in 2011, Josip spent 5 years as the head developer and project manager for an e-commerce focused software development firm focusing on payment gateways and transaction processes. He led the e-commerce implementation for many of largest financial institutions in Croatia, Russia, Bosnia, and Herzegovina. Josip taught himself to code at the age of 13 and is a piano and biking enthusiast.
Jesse Bernier Jesse is a FarShore Application Architect. He works with clients to help solidify ideas and with FarShore developers to build them out. Prior to joining FarShore in 2010, Jesse spent 5 years as an Engineering Technician with Lockheed Martin installing airport electronics in Alaska’s isolated village. Jesse holds a Bachelor Degree in MIS from the University of Alaska. Up until the birth of his son, Jesse actively fished, camped, and hiked across Alaska. His son is now equipped and tiny fishing pole, and the two of them will be catching Trout next summer.
Jayasree Raja Jayasree is FarShore's Application Development Manager. Since joining FarShore in 2007, Jayasree has served in progressive areas of responsibility from web and desktop application development, to web team supervisor, to Manager of both FarShore’s web and mobile development teams. She works directly with FarShore clients and has spearheaded the launch of dozens of applications. Prior to joining FSP, Jayasree was a Computer Science Lecturer covering system software and compiler design. Outside of FarShore Jayasree is a voracious reader, loves cooking, and enjoys solving challenging problems and puzzles. Jayasree holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and Engineering with First Class Honors from Anna University.
Rajiv Banik Rajiv is Farshore's Design lead and is instrumental into transforming client visions into stunning works of art. Rajiv brings over 7 years of web, mobile and print domain experience. Rajiv has keen interest in all design related activities and is a keen follower of design magazines, online forums, and staying current with the latest design trends.
Andreo Kordic Andreo is a FarShore Application Architect. He works with clients to transform their ideas into valuable products in cooperation with FarShore engineers. Prior to joining FarShore in 2011, Andreo spent 6 years working as a developer, software architect and software project manager. Andreo holds a Master Degree in Electric Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Zagreb. Outside of FarShore Andreo is a sport enthusiast; his favorites are cycling, hiking and different sorts of team sports.
